Official Launch of Frontier Industrial Park

Extracts from Opening Speech by Y.A.B. Dato’ Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Chief Minister of Johor â€" 19th July 2014

Key Johor state government officials graced the official launch of Frontier Industrial Park, led by Y.A.B. Dato’ Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Chief Minister of Johor.

In his opening address, he mentioned of being proud that Frontier, a Johor development has won the 5-stars Best Industrial Development in Malaysia. He also mentioned that Frontier will take the industrial park to a new level and it is well-placed to meet the needs of expanding industries.

“As I drove in here, I am further impressed by how Frontier Industrial Park is giving this area a fresh, new look.

One usually expects factory buildings to be unexciting but I find the new buildings here looking sharp and neat. The start of Frontier 2 will see Desa Cemerlang area having a green industrial zone that is gated and guarded.

Let me congratulate WB Land for their vision and foresight, coupled with astute and forward planning which has resulted in this Frontier 2 which will take industrial park development to the next level in Johor.

My admiration is certainly well placed as I learnt that Frontier has won the “5-Star Best-in-Malaysia” Award for Industrial Development at the recent Asia Pacific Property Awards 2014. As a Johorean, I am certainly proud that a Johor industrial park can stand head and shoulders above others in Malaysia.

I can see that many Johor-based industries, especially those within Johor Bahru, may need to expand or upgrade their facilities. Here, Frontier 2 is well-placed to meet their needs.

Once again, I assure investors that Johor State aims to remain a top destination for their industries.”
